Get Money In A Snap With PayPal’s Built In ‘Request Money’ Feature

There are a couple of ways to receive payments through PayPal without using a website cart. These options are great for situations where you have a product or service that is a one-off. By that, I mean it the product or service is unique in price, so using a shopping cart to receive payment may not be practical.

The ‘Request Money’ feature is the easiest way to send out custom bills through PayPal.

STEP 1: Login to your PayPal account.

STEP 2: Choose “Request Money” from the main (home) screen.

STEP 3: Fill in the required areas, leaving the dollar sign ($) out when adding an amount.
Make sure to click “Continue” when finished.

Step 4: You will now be taken to a screen where you can customize the email which will be sent out via PayPal. This is a good place to mention what the charges are for, and even to thank them. The subject line of the outgoing email can also be changed here.

Step 5: Finally, click “Request Money” at the bottom of the form.  This will cause an email to be sent out with the information you’ve provided to PayPal, along with a button to allow that party to pay you though PayPal.

If you’ve done everything correctly you should see a confirmation as shown below.

That’s all there is to it!

SIDE NOTE: If you wish to double check to make sure the request was sent, or to see any updates regarding your request, simply go back to the home screen and look at the recent transactions. Your request should show up there as “Pending”.
